Etho Escobar (Ethan Johnston) was born a Kansas native February 12, 1990 and has been holdin’ it down for both sides of the Kansas City borders. Bounced around home a lot through his years. Reppin’ for the nineties babies and living by the motto “90s Baby Born to Get Money” he resides in Kansas City. There was proof of his talents even as a youngster playing all the major sports and always being the star athlete.
As a youngster, he was into sports and did them all. 8th and 9th grade he started getting into trouble and bad grades made the sports dream fade away. But he had to get rich someway. So the was street life was calling his name. It all really started on 40th- 43rd and college. He looked up to his big bros and the Ogs. He saw them getting real money and wanted to follow in there footsteps. Ethos focused on getting money and lots of it. At 15 he started rap group wit his bros he grew up wit called Turf Boys.They did little mix tapes with instrumentals and performed at Appollo Night at Southeast High school.
Though he was into sports and was promised success, about 8th or 9th grade he started to get into trouble. Losing interest in the game and picking up a new interest, led to bad grades and the path of playing sports was left in hindsight. Directing his focus on another game he realized he still needed some way to get rich. So what another way than to turn to the streets. It all really took off on 40th – 43rd and College. Watching those around him navigate through the street life, he looked up to his big bros and the OGs, seeing them getting real money. No stranger to the streets he kept his friends in perspective and followed in their footsteps. Money was the focus and attaining it was the goal. They did little mixtapes with instrumentals and performed Apollo Night at Southeast High school.
Attending three different high schools in two years, he ultimately made the move to drop out of high school sophomore year. At that point, he knew he wanted to do music and as his lyrics state them “bitches couldn’t teach”. They discouraged his passion so Etho and school didn’t mix. Etho started recording solo mixtape Grit Now Shine Later. But because of being in and out of jail as a juvenile the CD never got finished. He lost focus spent last couple years gettin’ his life right.
Immediately moving on to recording the solo mixtape “Grit now Shine Later” that was never completed due to the flow in and out of jail as a juvenile. Sensing he was losing focus he’s spent the last couple years gettin’ life right but keeping continuous sight on his rap influences like Rich da Factor, Fat Tone, Tech N9ne, Mac Dre, Mob Figas, 2pac, Eminem and even locally, Young Make and King B. Finally the stage was right and he was able to complete and drop his first solo debut mixtape Febuary 2013 (NETWORKIN THE MIXTAPE).
He has received nothing but good feedback and his hard work has paid off, leading to the position he is in now rockin’ wit Clip Up Gang Entertainment. Now at the peak of his game he is letting nothing stop him as he goes after the throne to get all his fam out these Kansas city streets.Etho’s influences to rap was rich da factor, Mon Eg, fat tone, tech n9ne, mac dre, mob figas, 2pac ,eminem,young make, king b, scario andreddi. Finally Febuary 2013 he dropped his debut solo mixtape (NETWORKIN THE MIXTAPE) which he has got nothin but good feedback from, he just had to step the production up. He is now rockin wit Clip Up Gang Entertainment. He is not going to let anything stop him and his team from making it to the top. Etho is after the throne. He is not here for fun in games. It’s his time to get this real money and get all his fam out these Kansas city streets.
